Sleep – The Unseen Border Between Life and Absence
Sleep is a liminal space between life and death—a mysterious realm where the body rests, and the soul embarks on an unknown journey.
In my project Sleep, I sought to explore this profoundly human experience from an introspective and unconventional perspective—an experience shared by all, yet uniquely shaped by each individual.
In this series, I photographed people in complete stillness—silent, motionless, seemingly at peace. Yet within my frames, their souls appear to stir—sometimes drifting, sometimes ascending, caught between dream and nightmare.
The compositions are arranged to evoke a sense of motion. Though the bodies remain still, the essence of each subject feels as if it is in flight, suspended in a liminal space between the real and the imagined.
Sleep was not merely a photographic experiment for me; it was a journey into the unspoken layers of the human psyche—a glimpse into a world we all visit nightly, yet rarely pause to contemplate.
A visual exploration of moments that are neither fully real nor entirely surreal—
but something in between:
Sleep.
